Our mandate as a fellowship is:

- We believe in the encouragement of saints in the workplace.

The Military Christian Fellowship (MCF) is an inter-denominational body of military men and women committed to Jesus Christ.
The objectives are:
- to be an instrument in leading military men and women to commit their lives to Jesus-Christ;
- to assist and encourage military men and women to grow to spiritual maturity; and
- to support the Chaplain and the Chapel Program.
Who is eligible for membership?
The MCF is made up of serving and retired military members of all ranks, civilian employees of the Department of National Defence and other interested persons who subscribe to the basis of belief.
What is the MCF basis of belief?
We believe that the Bible is the Word of God. Our statement of faith is the Apostles’ Creed. We believe, therefore, that according to the scriptures, each person, to be saved by grace alone, must accept Jesus Christ as personal Lord and Saviour.
Why is there an MCF?
Chaplains are responsible to their Commander or commanding Officer for the spiritual welfare of the military community. As Christians of all ranks, no matter what our position, we know our responsibility under the Great Commission (Matt. 28:18-20), to assist the Chaplain in reaching our fellow personnel for Christ. The military community forms a unique segment of Canadian society and we as MCF members can reach our peers more effectively than anyone else. God has given us this opportunity and vision. We accept it not only as a great challenge, but as a special ministry, a high calling. By the power of his Holy Spirit we will do what He has called us to do in the military community where He has placed us.

👥 Parliament Hill

Room 177 East Block, Parliament Hill, Ottawa
Craig & Gail Docksteader
Fridays, 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m. (English)
The Parliament Hill Christian Fellowship is for Parliamentary Assistants from all political parties as well as anyone who works on or near the Hill. It is a weekly meeting, which includes lunch and talks that address faith, politics, and our professional lives. These talks are given by a wide variety of Protestant and Catholic pastors and clergy, as well as MPs and Senators.
Historically Parliament was a place where believers would come from all over the country only to find themselves isolated from Christian community as their time consuming and demanding jobs didn’t allow them much time to find community. But the PHCF continues to help change that, as people who have been in politics for decades as well as those who have just arrived, continue to find this oasis amidst the hectic schedules that so often defines our day-to-day work experience on and around Parliament Hill.

The Bible Study fellowship in French commenced in 2005 and now meets every Wednesday. Its main objective is to study the gospel and share it with other public servants/colleagues. In addition, the meetings provide the participants with an opportunity to share testimonies on how the Almighty God powerfully blesses them. Furthermore, the meetings confer opportunities to the participants to support each other in prayer. We believe when two or three people are gathered in the name of Jesus Christ to worship in spirit and in truth, share the gospel, there the Father sends blessings and life forevermore. (Psalms 133:1b, 3b; Matthew 18:19)
